On Friday 16th November, IES Västerås will take part in another action packed Sports Day.
Our first ever Sports Day was a great success and we were lucky enough to have beautiful sunshine for the whole day. There was a really positive atmosphere with students showing an exemplary level of sportsmanship throughout. The skill level shown during the football and ultimate frisby was there for all to see! Zlatan better be careful...
Every class also took part in the Skol Joggen competition through Råby Skogan.
Here are the results:
1) 4D (3,07 laps/student)
2) 6C (3,06 laps/student)
3) 5A (2,75 laps/student)
Great job and very well done to everybody who took part!
Our school in Västerås has now been up and running for a little more than a month, and what a fantastic time it has been! It’s wonderful to see students and staff from different schools, different cultures and different countries mix together and create this happy, calm and friendly atmosphere together. I’m very impressed to see the students already picking up and using English in a very natural way. We have had a lot of visitors including important politicians and all have been very impressed by our school, especially by our well-behaved students. It is important now to build on this positive start and keep the momentum going. October is always a very challenging month with assesments, SPT’s and many other things happening. However, every day is a beautiful day here at IES Västerås thanks to our friendly students and our professional staff.
